We have eight exciting options for this year's event:

STRENGTHENING OUR COMMUNITY
All proceeds from the Apple Harvest Festival Road Races will go to support individuals and families in our communities going through challenging times through financial aid and scholarships to various YMCA programs and services. You can count on the Y to be good stewards of funds received.
T-shirts
Specially designed t-shirts will be given out to the first 750 registrations for the 5 Mile Race, 5K Race, 2 Mile Walk, and Y Cup 1-Mile Run.
T-shirts for first 250 who sign up for Little Fritter Fun Runs.
T-shirts forall 150 who sign up for Color Fun Run
NOTE: T-shirts will be given out on a first come, first served basis beginning at our packet pick-up days on October 4th, October 5th and October 6th
Age category medals for 5K and 5 Mile
Timing Plus New England is back to time our race. You'll get instant results as well as access to finish line photos
In addition to top three finishers in the 5K and 5 Mile events, medals will be given for top three male, female, and non-binary winners in the following age categories

- 16-19
- 20-29
- 30-39
- 40-49
- 50-59
- 60-69
- 70-79
- 80 plus
The Dave Gworek Memorial Award will be given to the top male and female Southington finisher in the 5 Mile Race
The Tony Manning Memorial Award will be given to the top male and female Southington finisher in the 5K Race
$200 prize for male/female course records in 5K and 5 Mile Races

Y Cup 1-Mile Run
4th and 5th grade children are encouraged to participate in the Y Cup 1-Mile Run
Runners start at 2.1 mile mark of 5K course. Meet with Y staff at DePaolo by 8:15 a.m.
Children from Southington will have opportunity to run for the prestigious Y Cup Trophy. The top five boy and girl finishers in grades 4 and 5 will be awarded points for their respective schools.
Medals will be given out to top five male and female in each grade level. Children not living in Southington may participate in the Y Cup 1-Mile Run and are also eligible for 1st thru 5th place medals.
Registration for the Y CUP ends on Saturday, October 5, 2024
Middle School Cup 5K
6th, 7th, 8th grades participate in Middle School Cup 5K
Participants will run in 5K event starting at 8:45 a.m.
Top 15 boys and girls will receive medals
Points earned for top 15 boys and girls. Top point totals by Kennedy or DePaolo will receive the Middle School Cup
6th, 7th, 8th graders from towns outside Southington may participate and are eligible for medals
Participants are also eligible for age category awards
The Chamber Corporate Cup
A wonderful partnership with the Southington Chamber of Commerce
This new feature has been added to the 5K Road Race (part of the Apple Harvest Festival Road Races on Sunday, October 6, 2024) to encourage local businesses and agencies to participate.
Local businesses and agencies register as a ‘corporate’ team in the 5K Road Race. Contact John Myers jmyers@sccymca.org or 860-919-1193
The team with the lowest time average of three runners will win the prestigious Chamber Corporate Cup Trophy (one trophy for each for males and females) which can be prominently displayed for the upcoming year.
A plaque will also be given to the company/agency that wins to keep permanently.
Top three male and females in the Chamber Corporate Cup division will also receive medals.
Cost: $30. $10 of each registration goes to support Southington Chamber of Commerce community outreach programs and services
2-Mile Run Walk sponsored by Hartford HealthCare
Flat, 2 mile walk starting at the Y and moving to the Linear Trail and finsihing by our refreshment area on Town Green
Proceeds support our chronic dieases programs that we partner with Hartford HealthCare

Little Fritter Fun Runs sponsored by MT Southington
Always a fun and spirited event at the Apple Harvest Festival Road Race
A variety of options, ranging from 50 yards to two laps around the Town Green are offered
For children 2 through 7 years old
Little Fritter Fun Runs begin at the conclusion of the 5K/5Mile events. Approximately 9:45 to 10:00 a.m.
YMCA Staff coordinate smaller races by age and ability
Participants receive a medal (one medal per person)
First 250 signed up will receive a Little Fritter Fun Run T-shirt
SoCCA Color Run/Walk
A colorful addition to the Apple Harvest Road Race menu! The Y is partnering with SoCCA to offer a fun, action packed 1 ½ mile Color Fun Run/Walk on Sunday October 6th
The event will take place on the Linear Trail (starting at the intersection of High Street)
This family friendly event; which support SoCCA’s community initiatives, encourages everyone to run, walk, dance, skip from color station to color station to get blasted with color powder. Guaranteed to bring laughter and create lifetime memories
The cost is $30 and everyone who signs up by September 15th is guaranteed a t-shirt to wear. Registration is limited to 150 participants
The Color Run/Walk begins at 8:30 a.m. All participants should meet at the Y's Learning Center by 8:00 a.m.
After the completion of the Color Run, participants can head up to the Town Green to see the end of the road races and enjoy refreshments in a festive atmosphere.

Packet pick-up info
Packet pick-up (t-shirt and race bib) will take place at the Southington Community YMCA located at 29 High Street, Southington on:
Friday, October 4th from 8:00 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday, October 5th from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Sunday, October 6th from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
T-shirts will be given out to first 750 who sign up for 5 mile, 5K, 2 Mile, or Y CUP.
T-shirts will be given out to first 250 who sign up for Little Fritter Fun Runs.
T-shirtswill be given out to all 150who sign up for Color Fun Run/Walk
First-come-first-serve on receiving desired size of t-shirt. Exchanges may be possible after the event.
